Yolanda Bruno is a brilliant young Canadian violin virtuoso with an intense devotion to communicating with audiences. Her exhilarating approach to making music has branded her one of CBC's 30 Hot Canadian Classical Musicians under 30 and brought her solo engagements with orchestras across North America and Europe, including the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, the Orchestre Métropolitain, the Youth Orchestra of the Americas and the London Mozart Players.

She has won a slew of competitions and awards. These include the 2017 Isabel Overton Bader Canadian Violin Competition, the Grand Prize in the 2013 OSM Standard Life Competition and the 2015 Virginia Parker Award, a distinction shared with her fellow Canadian musicians Yannick Nézet-Séguin, James Ehnes and Marc-André Hamelin. Yolanda has spent the past few years living and working in London, England. She recently returned to Canada and looks forward to establishing her international career from her base in Montréal, performing on the c. 1700 Taft Stradivari violin on generous loan from the Canada Council for the Arts' Musical Instrument Bank.
