BIOGRAPHY
Marc-Etienne Leclerc is a guitarist, yogi and teacher with an unusual background. Initially following the usual path of the classical musician, he studied for several years with Sylvie-Louise Fortin and then with Miodrag Zerdoner, which led him, among other things, to win first prize at the Canadian Music Competition in 2011. Interested in the profound need to help people, he also studied science to become a doctor. This will initiate an important period of questioning, during which he will travel to the four corners of the world. In addition to giving meaning to his music, this period led him to self-produce two albums (Traveling in 2015, then Ici et ailleurs in 2019), as well as studying Vipassana meditation in several Asian centers and completing his yoga teacher training in India. He now integrates these most enriching learnings on a day-to-day basis into his musical practice and, in a more therapeutic form, with people in palliative care. Since 2019, Marc-Etienne has been back to school (this time in music), completing advanced studies in classical performance with Patrick Roux at the Conservatoire de musique de Gatineau.
