GABRIELLE GAGNON- PICARD / master class (Monday, April 14, 2025)

 STUDIO DU QUAI DES ARTS

Carleton-sur-Mer

Carleton-sur-Mer, February 13 2025

Hello music lovers,

JMC Chaleur Bay Chapter would like to extend an invitation to piano students and teachers. We'll have a concert by pianist Miss Gabrielle Gagnon-Picard on Sunday, April 13 at 2 p.m., Quai des arts, in collaboration with Maximum 90, and a master class for local pianists the following day.    For more information, click here.

Gabrielle Gagnon-Picard invites you to discover the Canadian repertoire in a new format for solo piano. Marvel at her sensitive interpretation and soak up the creative power of impressionist and contemporary compositions from the last 100 years. Alongside the music of Debussy, this unique and daring recital highlights the richness of compositions by Auguste Descarries and the ever-active Alexina Louie.

On Monday, April 14, she invites us to meet local student pianists and teachers. On this occasion, she will be offering public piano lessons to pianists wishing to improve their skills. This master class will be held at the Quai des Arts concert hall. A few people have already expressed interest, and this will be a unique experience not to be missed.
For the youngest, 12 years and under, it will be possible to be in private.

All you have to do is perform a piece or two, or excerpts of a piece, lasting about two minutes. For 20 minutes, Gabrielle will show you how to improve your technique, musicality and so on.

Anyone interested in presenting a piece and having a public lesson with our pianist should contact Claire Bourbeau by text or by phone at 418-392-3998. Members of the public interested in listening to these lessons can attend in person. Times will be announced at a later date, subject to availability.

We look forward to meeting you,
Claire Bourbeau
